Stone Countertop Case Studies

Every countertop we build is fabricated and installed by our own team out of our Woburn shop. Calacatta Laza Quartz Kitchen, Start to Finish

Material: Calacatta Laza quartz · Scope: full kitchen fabrication and installation · Greater Boston

The material. Calacatta Laza is a marble-look quartz with soft gray veining, giving the look of natural marble with the durability and low maintenance of engineered stone.

What we did. We templated the kitchen, fabricated the counters and island in our Woburn shop, then handled the full install, including seams, edge profiles, and the sink cutout. The video above follows the job from bare cabinets to finished surfaces.

Why it works. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing, so it stands up to daily cooking and cleanup without special care, which makes it a practical choice for a busy family kitchen.

The material. Carrara marble is the classic white-with-gray-veining stone that gives a kitchen a timeless, high-end feel, and every slab is one of a kind.

What we did. We fabricated and installed the perimeter counters, a center island, and a full marble backsplash, finished with an undermount sink for a clean, seamless edge. Natural marble is sealed on install and develops a soft patina over the years, which is part of its character.

Quartz Waterfall Island, Waltham

Material: white quartz · Scope: waterfall island, perimeter counters, marble-look backsplash

The detail. This bright white kitchen features a waterfall island, where the stone runs straight down both ends to the floor. We mitered the corners so the veining wraps the edge in one continuous line.

Why it works. A waterfall island is one of the highest-impact details in a modern kitchen, and quartz makes it practical: the same durable, no-seal surface from countertop to floor.
